” The only thing that is constant is change.”

No other statement aptly summarises the entertainment industry, be it in the field of theatre, music or arts. We see evolution everywhere, the way entertainment reaches us, the way technology is changing the face of entertainment, the way we perceive entertainment and the way entertainment is diversified. The main drivers of this change have been the digital revolution, increasingly penetrating social media and the increased connectivity which our generation enjoy. We have seen many art forms perish and many adapting to the changed environment trying to grab the attention of the audience at large.

Synthesis is the Panel Discussion event at Avenues 2011. Based on the theme ‘Evolving art of Entertainment’, Synthesis will bring eminent personalities from the fields of art, music and theatre on one platform to engage and entertain the audience. What is the role harbingers of the trade have to play in this evolution? How is the evolution shaping the industry, is it for good or bad? Synthesis seek answers to these questions and more relevant to the underlying theme.
