Strategia is the flagship event in the consulting domain of Avenues 2011. In an age where the policy makers are deeply receptive to the ideas from the young minds, Strategia intends to channelize the ideas from brilliant young minds who understand the macroeconomic trends in different sectors. Strategia brings together participants from top management schools across India, who possess deep understanding of different sectors and provides them the right platform to put themselves in the shoes of policy makers and suggest bold solutions for the existing problems.

Event Format

Strategia will be conducted in 3 phases.
Round Zero: The Build Up
The first stage is a sector quiz where teams can pick from sectors and answer questions on the fundamentals of the sector and the latest happenings in the sector. Teams will be shortlisted based on this round for the second stage.
Round 1: The Chaos
The second stage, the teams will be assigned Sectors on which they will prepare a detailed Sector analysis report. The analysis would be the testimony of the depth of understanding that a team posses in a sector.
Round 2: The Final Punch

In the third stage, teams are asked an open-ended problem currently faced by companies in the sector. Teams will need to analyze the sector thoroughly and propose a solution to the problem. The solutions proposed by the teams will be analyzed by experts and the top 6 teams will be invited to the IIT Bombay campus to present their solution to a distinguished panel of judges. The judges will evaluate the solutions and declare the winners.
Rules

- All students engaged in a MBA / Engineering program during the academic year 2011-2012 are eligible to participate in the competition
- Each team must comprise of 2-4 members. All team members should be from the same institute. There is no limit on the number of entries per university. A participant cannot be a member of more than one team
- Only one entry per team is allowed. In case of multiple entries, the last entry submitted by the team before the time limit would be considered. Plagiarism is an offence and all entries found guilty of plagiarism will be disqualified
