Following the huge success of last year, Shrinkhala is back with its exciting blend of simulation game and case study experience.
To make things more interesting this year, the simulation game is brought to you by Colgate Palmolive Ltd. This provides an opportunity for the participants to manage the simulated environment of Colgate Palmolive manufacturing processes.
Selected participants will also deal with a live case study that would test the operations enthusiasts on their skills and knowledge in supply chain management.
This event will provide an opportunity for all budding managers to prove their mettle by providing innovative ideas and solution to problems coming straight from the industry. The event will again be judged by the stalwarts from industry and academia which will provide the industry insight to the participants.

Event Format
The event is designed to test the decision making skills of participants which in turn depend on the blend of their knowledge as well as analysing and forecasting techniques.
The event would be conducted in three stages:
Stage1:
Online simulation round
Participating teams will play an online simulation game simulating the manufacturing processes of a Colgate Palmolive plant/product. Participants will be making decisions based on some variables which would eventually effect their cash position.
Top 30 teams as per cash position will be selected for the next round.
Stage2:
Case study:
A live case study will be floated quoting a particular scenario. Participants will be given week’s time to analyze the case and come up with recommendations.
Top 5 teams would be selected for the next round based on the solutions sent in presentation slides format.
Stage3:
Presentation:
Shortlisted teams will be called to the campus to present their solution to the panel of judges. Team with most effective solution (as per the decision by the panel) will be announced as the winner.
Rules
- The entries should be in teams of three individuals only
- All Team Members should be from the same Institute
- A person can be a member of only one team
- The decision of the organizers of the competition and the panel of judges will be final and binding on all the participants
