Event Brief

Registration is closed for Abhyutthan. Thanks for the overwhelming response!
Abhyutthan is the Flagship Marketing Strategy Event of Avenues 2011. With millions of brands coming up each day, Marketers in times today have a humongous job of differentiating their brand from the hoi polloi. They have to work out an intricate way to establish their brand in the minds of the customers and not just plant the seed but also nurture it regularly!!
It is a race in which the complacent brand loses its identity as no brand is irreplaceable..!! Brand Managers have to “rise” from their slumber and shine above all in order to sustain their brand.
With an aim to arouse the “gen next” marketers Abhyutthan is a marketing challenge that offers young marketers the chance to carve out innovative solutions and creative strategies for real time challenges faced by the industry; solutions that will help our partners revamp their existing brand in the market and contour their future strategies to strengthen their foothold in the market. The Event also offers an opportunity of Internship/Project Opportunity with our partners!
Event Format
The objective of the event is to prepare strategies to address business issues our sponsors might be facing.
The event will be conducted in two phases- The Offline phase consisting of one round and the on campus phase consisting of the second and final round.
Round 1:
This round will require the participants to understand the business case for our partner firm-
Carrier Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Ltd. and identify the problems it is facing.
The deliverables for this round would be in two parts:
1. A four slide presentation containing:
- Frameworks that can be applied to the business case and analysis
- What would you do if you were the Regional Sales Manager of the Company (Your suggestions in brief-list out different alternatives)
- Choose out the best Possible Alternative from the list mentioned and chart out a project action plan in tabular form (steps you would take and approximate timelines)
2. A report or presentation of not more than 4 pages/slides containing:
A Cost Benefit Analysis of the different alternatives suggested.( A rough estimate of the financial costs involved and approximate impact on the sales- The assumptions should be stated explicitly in the calculations)
*Entries should be mailed to abhyutthan@sjmsom.in with the document name and subject name as “Abhyutthan_Team Name_College Name”
Round 2:
